This happened last week and I forgot to write about it:

There were no tables in the cafeteria because they were preparing to bring in new ones. There were several stacks of chairs along the walls, so my friends took a few stacks and put the chairs in rows, facing the purchase area, like seats at a movie theater. We all sat in them and watched the lunch line, pretending it was some kind of movie. It was so funny, people were so confused by what we were doing, some even sat down and joined us.

There was a Jesus freak on campus today. He had a big sign with some uncommon biblical verse; it was 8:30am and I was dead tired. Apparently later he started telling students that jews need to convert or they're going to hell, the students here are heathens, being gay will make your junk fall off, and he called a girl a whore because she was wearing clothes that showed skin (probably short shorts and such). The campus peace officers came and took him away.

Just got a break between classes to come and remind everyone that today is National Talk Like a Pirate Day. Yes, you should definitely do so. Matey.

I plan to write about my trip to Laval soon, but I'm in a lot of pain right now. I had my wisdom teeth removed earlier today.

My firefox is very noticeably faster now that pipelining and everything has been enabled, firefox is no longer hogging my RAM, and RAM use is very reduced when I have firefox minimized. I feel like I'm using a totally new browser, and I learned some cool new tips as well.

I'm sick with a bad sore throat and headache today, this is seriously the first time in about two years. My immune system is usually ungodly.

I really wonder if Roger Ebert (who has said that video games aren't art) has actually played Metal Gear Solid, or Chrono Trigger, or Final Fantasy VII, or the many other games filled with rich stories. Such games have plucked at my heartstrings as much as any movie has. Sure, you can't just watch it for two hours and be done. With many games, you have to play it for a while to enjoy the full story. However, games have made me smile, games have made me cry, games have made me laugh. Games have shared intricate stories with me and games have made me connect with their characters and feel what they feel. How is that not art?

Friday was NUTS. I worked for 12 hours straight after my Biology final. Other than the 1.5 hour nap I got, I was awake for 43.5 hours.

We had to do loads of work getting the halls ready for closing. When it was mostly done, we did something completely awesome. We went shopping. Everyone except the lacrosse players had left, so anything that was left here is going to be thrown out. I and the other resident assistants went through every suite and took whatever we wanted. We actually got a shopping cart from someone and filled it up (several times) with junk. We filled a room with all the stuff we got. I took pictures and I'll put them up at some point if I remember. It was the most fun I've had in a while, I felt like a kid in a candy store. I got some eyeshadow, bath and body works stuff, shampoo, and a set of black sheets (never even taken out of the package). We also got some other cool things like two decent-sized TVs (one was falling apart so we left it) and some shower radios. Our hall director got in on the fun and told us to look for pots and pans for her, as well as a white set of silverware.

It's all over now! I should be heading for home on Sunday.

Sex-Changing Chemicals Found in Potomac River

I went to orientation, which was a bore. I got my student ID and then got a ride with Gecko, who I ran into there.

My aunt died in a car crash on Wednesday so I went to her funeral yesterday, running on three hours of sleep. It was a nice funeral, not a religious one, just people coming up to talk about her and stories they remember her by. Everyone was crying, just reminding me how emotionally detached I am. I don't even know how to get close to someone.

I came home and feel asleep with all my clothes on. Seventeen hours later I'm writing this, my back really sore from sleeping weird. I had a cool dream, though... been having nice dreams lately ^^

Yeah, I'm part cat, it seems. I was being emo so I wandered off alone outside during my LARP. Looking for a good place to sit, I climbed a tree. It wasn't until after that I realized that I'm scared of heights, and got stuck up there for an hour. Mew?

For the last chorus concert of the year, every senior that wants a solo can have one (some are rather small). We're doing Disney medleys, just because it's fairly easy. My solo is that of Scar's in "Be Prepared". I'm going to kick ass and steal the show if I can get the timbre down for his voice ^^
